Precious Autumn Sunshine

“I cannot endure to waste anything as precious as autumn sunshine by staying in the house. So I spend almost all the daylight hours in the open air. –Nathaniel Hawthorne

Happy Labor Day! The weather forecast says we are going to have more summer-like weather during the up coming work week but for today, as it has been all weekend it is totally fall weather! Beautiful! All winter I ask myself (and others!) “”Why do we live here again???”” and the answer is lies in days like today. Ahhhh-fall! Bring it on! It’s so exciting to live in a place where we get to experience the changing of seasons. A new beginning. A fresh start. The smells, the sounds and the feel are already a lot different than they were just a month ago and it feels good to be a part of it.——For those of us that don’t like to be bored, the new season offers a chance to shake things up and do something new and different. That includes our activity and especially the foods we prepare and eat. Start thinking of ways to modify your favorite fall dishes and the comfort foods that sound appealing at this time of year.————–Get out and enjoy this cool, sunny weather and pay attention to how good your body feels when it’s moving. I don’t know of a better way to clear my head than to get outside and move around. We sleep better, we have an appetite for healthy foods because we eat for actual hunger after exercise and we can see a difference in our strength and endurance in a short amount of time. Don’t waste a minute of this fall!! Its just the beginning, so let’s make plans to embrace it and make the most of Autumn 2010!!!!!!!! When winter hits and we look back we can say “That was the best fall ever
