“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.– Plato
Thanks for all the comments on yesterday’s blog entry. Often I write things and then after hitting the “publish” button, wonder if anyone out there will really relate or just thinking I’m wacky! All joking aside, it’s more than a bit scary, so I appreciate the time many of you take to write back. And……a HUGE thank you to Jill for the adorable Strawberry Shortcake doll!!! She is a great little anchor to remind me how connected we all are and how blessed we are to all have such a strong support system. You guys are the best! Thank YOU! I just received an email for work from a loan processor and the above quote is part of her email signature and it made me smile! Let me tell you, her job is a tough one these days!!! We each have our battles that’s for sure—employment, economic, relationships, weight, etc., etc. Realizing this can make us better, more compassion people. It’s like the story of the car in front of you driving so slow on the one day you are running way late. Your blood is just boiling because the driver of that car is making you crazy by driving o slow! What are they thinking?!?!?!?!? COME ON! Then you both pull up to a stop light and you look over to see your neighbor, who is a dear friend, smiling and waving at you from the driver’s seat of her brand new car you didn’t even know she purchased. Ooops!! The anger and frustration instantly melt away and are replaced with love and a big, warm smile on YOUR face as you wave back. That’s what we call PERSPECTIVE and it can be changed as easily as just changing your mind.——
