“People become really quite remarkable when they start thinking that they can do things. When they believe in themselves they have the first secret of success.—–Norman Vincent Peale

If you feel like the biggest challenge you have on this healthy lifestyle journey is finding the time, it might be a good idea for you to re-evaluate why you want to do it in the first place. In order to make any change, there has to be a motivation. As you would expect, the stronger the motivation, the better chance of succeeding because the commitment level is stronger as well. So where does that motivation come from? It comes from within each of us and the better we are at pinpointing our reasons for change, the more specific our focus becomes and the changes begins.—-We can’t find time for anything, we must make it. Decide why getting control of your weight is important to you and go to work re-organizing your priorities. There is a good chance that a few things are going to need to take a back seat to your commitment to take care of YOU. That’s OK! We all think we are Super Girl, but even she has to have priorities! Make yourself that priority. In order to succeed, my experience tells me we need to take time to plan ahead, get organized, grocery shop, look up and write down what we eat and attend our WW meetings each week to gain energy, momentum, support and creative ideas. . Yes, those things DO take time, but not an unreasonable amount and your return on that investment of time is over the top worth it. Don’t let “I don’t have time” be the mental road block that keeps you from feeling your best. When you break down what you need to each day into do into steps, it really isn’t that hard. You don’t have time NOT to feel your best. Life is beautiful, sacred and challenging—we can best handle all that life brings our way when we have set aside some time for ourselves first.
