Adjusting Your Sail

Some days life is easy and some days it’s hard but the fact is, only we can determine how we react to what each day brings. If we are so set in our own ways and so attached to one specific outcome we will most likely experience more hard days than easy ones. At the risk of sounding like “Captain Obvious” (as Chase, my 13 year old likes to call me when I try to tell him something he thinks he already knows) we are not humanly in control of every external situation!! We have to be able to lighten up, cut ourselves some slack and adjust our course of action when needed.

You’re stronger than you think. Don’t give up. Don’t throw in the towel on your dreams or goals when challenges arise. Instead be flexible. Reevaluate what Life has given you and look for ways to adjust your sail. If you over indulged last night after work because you were tired, try to go to bed earlier tonight and get more sleep. If you’re seeing your scale creep up, eat less processed foods and more fruits and veggies and get back to what you know works. If you can’t seem to get your portions under control, add in more activity. Instead of fighting or struggling with whatever is happening today, try to allow and accept it. Don’t feel bad about or guilty for things that have thrown you off course!! Instead come up with a different approach for now. Amazingly, when we do this, we are led to calm new ways of moving forward that are even better for us than we expected.

Hope everyone is doing well??? If you’ve been away from our meetings and you’re not happy with the direction your weight and health are heading, make a change in your routine and come back. Each day is a fresh chance to make a new start and you deserve to feel good about YOUrself and be happy!! The energy, the ideas and the inspiration are contagious, so come share in it with us!!!!

All is well!!

Love,
Terra:-))
