Roasted Sweet Sriracha Brussel Sprouts

The Patten House in downtown Geneva is one of my favorite restaurants and one of my favorite appetizers are their Siriracha Brussels sprouts. They are sweet with a little spice and out of this world!!

When I was on the Trader Joe’s tour a couple of weeks ago, it was brought to my attention that they carry pre-cut brussel sprouts with garlic and it got me thinking about how I could recreate this yummy dish!

All I did was dump the package of precut brussels sprouts in a Pyrex dish that was spritzed with Pam cooking spray. Then I tossed them in some balsamic vinegar, a little garlic powder and about 3T sugar free maple syrup. After that I put a thin zig-zag of Sriracha sauce over the top and threw it in the oven. I roasted them at 400* for about 12 minutes. Keep an eye on them, I lose track of time easily and everyone’s oven cooks a bit different, so I’m told😊

I wanted to add bacon bits but I was out of them and honesty didn’t miss them in the finished dish. The sweet-with-a-little-heat is really delicious!! Be ready to chew because they are crunchy, which I think adds to the satisfaction!!

⭐️A quick note about the brussels sprouts…when I went back to TJ’s to buy more, they only had them with olive oil. They also carry shredded brussels sprouts in a bag that work really well too, if you just add your own garlic. I’ve attached a pic below of what the ones I used looked like. It was just really convenient that they already had the garlic added but not a big deal to do yourself if you can’t find this specific package.

This is the package they came in at TJ’s and what they looked like before roasting.

Hope you’re all having a terrific week and I’ll check in with you again before the weekend!

All is well❤️
