I love the holidays and this year was exceptionally special for my family to be together. I truly treasured every minute of it. So when the family and guests were first gone and the decorations and lights were down, I have to admit, it was a bit tough for me to get geared up for the new year. How can what we look forward to for so long go by so quickly??

Alas, after a little time adjusting, I started to get excited about getting back to a healthy routine and what the new year will bring. 2019 will be a monumental year for my family. Cole, my oldest son will graduate with a Construction Management degree from Colorado State in December. Chase, my baby, will graduate from Kaneland High School in May and head off to Arizona State in the fall to study Sports Broadcasting and Journalism. Wow. When did all that happen and how old am I??? Geesh!! I’m noticing more and more how our lives unfold in chapters. As one closes, another opens and the possibilities are endless.

I love the idea of each month of 2019 being a new chapter while each day is a fresh chance for each of us. No matter what our goals or resolutions, feeling our best is key. If we don’t have it in us, we can’t give it to others. For me, that means getting organized and having fresh foods prepared and readily available for fuel. It also means prioritizing time for myself. Making the time and effort to get out and exercise most days is critical to keep my mood elevated, especially in the winter. And most important of all to me, is time each day to spend in prayer and gratitude. How about you? What needs to happen on a regular basis for you to feel your best each day of this year?

I love taking part in the positive energy of being a Wellness Coach and doing all I can to help you achieve your health and wellness goals!!

All is well,
