Our fam was back together in IL for Christmas! Wishing you a blessed 2020!! ~Chase, Oakley, Terra, Darin, Ivy and Cole

🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊So here we are…the first day of a new year and a new decade🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉

If you’re anything like me, the scale can be a scary thing right now. After all the parties, traveling, cookie baking and eating, meals out with friends and family celebrating settles down, despite our best efforts, most of us have been consuming more than we normally do. It’s like that for everyone, so let’s NOT dwell!

After the Thanksgiving holiday, I had several clients quite upset about what they considered large, quick weight gains. We’ve all been there. Losing a true 5 pounds takes most of us about a month to do yet the scale can go up 5 pounds after just a few days of “holiday cheer”. After talking through it, all of them committed to getting back to the routine that was working for them pre-Thanksgiving. Talking about the gain got it out in the open. Realizing they were not alone disarmed a great deal of the negative emotion they had been feeling. The weight gains that seemed so huge to each one of them, were suddenly not quite as dramatic. So guess what happened the following week? All of them lost the majority of the weight they gained in just one week. A couple of them lost more than they had gained, giving them a net LOSS for the month of November.

Why am I telling you this? Because the most important thing for me, for you, for anyone of us to do is resist the urge to feel bad about a weight gain. Let’s start the new year off feeling energized and ready for a fresh start! What we think about, we bring about. Dwelling on a holiday weight gain can leave us feeling defeated, frustrated and sometimes even sad. Not the best recipe for inspiration moving forward into 2020. Getting right back to a healthy routine is the next step and it works! Let’s feel good about it!

Cheers to a happy and healthy 2020✨🥂✨🍾✨

All is well❤️

Love,

Terra🌺

    Terra,
Still following you. We are now in a retirement home in Yorkville, IL. Had been in Wisconsin, but now moved in a retirement apartment. Let me tell you…you need to be in your 80’s and you really stop eating a lot of food. Yes, I am in my 120’s now. To think of how much I weighed and now I just eat so little. BUT I still like my fruit!! Weight is about 125-127.

What made you move to California?

Great to hear from you, my dear Marie!!! So glad you’re still receiving my emails! We moved b/c Darin was offered a job opportunity in Fresno, CA that he couldn’t pass up. He came out in May 2018 and I joined him in Aug 2019, as soon as my youngest left for college. It’s been a great adventure!! We love it here☀️ Stay in touch

I miss you but I feel like we are sitting in my office together and you are giving me my weekly “pep-talk” when I read these posts! I am committed to losing 3 pounds a month for this year, so I am excited about the new plan! The blue plan seems best for me, and who knows…. I am likely going to inadvertently serve this plan up to my other family members!!
As always, thanks for the inspiration!! XO

Heading back to WW tomorrow. It is the only program that has ever worked for me. I NEED something that is easy to maintain in the long run. I’m sad that I won’t be attending your meetings. Happy New Year!!!

Thanks, Jill!! All 3 plans are great depending on what “freedom” means to you. Sometimes switching it up is also energizing! Happy New Year!!

Thanks terra. I’m doing green. I like getting back to ww. Looking forward to an alcohol free, healthy 2020. I’m doing the alcohol experiment with Annie Grace of this naked mind. Working out with a great trainer. This will be a fabulous year.

Thank you, Terra for this right on target message. Today is a new day and I can gear up to once again be on target and feel much better on my Blue plan. Haven’ t investigated the purple plan, as yet, but plan on doing so, as purple is my favorite color (Lol). Whatever plan I do it does make me feel better being in control and finding ways to eat my fruits and vegetables along with the protein to move in the right direction. My monthly goals are 5 lbs which I feel is doable but the holidays have jolted me back a few pounds but I do know I can take them off.
Once again, thank you for inspiring me to continue this journey of 1000 steps … Hugs, Rosalie
