I’ve adopted a new favorite mantra and I try to keep it in the forefront of my thoughts each day:
When you can’t control what’s happening, challenge yourself to control the way you’re responding to what’s happening. That’s where the power lies.
Using this time for self care….making homemade meals, organizing our kitchens, taking walks, practicing yoga or trying out strength training, starting that book you’ve never gotten around to reading…..things we didn’t think we had time to do before can now become a welcome distraction to what’s going on in the outside world. Let’s use this time to to invest in our health so we have the energy and enthusiasm to help others around us.
Finding a new way to socialize in this time of sheltering in place is also import our well being. Thanks to WW quickly shifting to a virtual workshop platform I’ve been staying connected to people all over the country everyday and it’s amazing! I’m getting to witness so much good, it’s incredible!! I’m hoping if you are a current WW member you are taking advantage of this too?? Being able to tap into our network of wellness and self care is a game changer for setting the tone of how we are feeling. We don’t have to go through this alone!! We have each other to lean on and thanks to technology, we can do this safely from the our homes, yet it feels as if we are in the same room together!
It’s a different time and we are all creating a “new normal”. Safe social interaction and support are key at a time like this and thankfully we have the resources to be able to stay connected virtually. We truly are better together!
All is well❤️

It was so good to see your face last week back in Illinois! I am planning on sitting in on one of your Friday meetings in California!
One day at a time, right! Couldn’t agree more with your wonderful perspective!!
Oh Jan! That would be terrific! It was so, so great to get to see you all!! I ❤️ Brigid’s workshops and getting to “be there” was awesome. Staying virtually connected sure helps when we are so isolated otherwise. “See” you soon
It was great to “see” you from Illinois to California this week! I also forgot the time change so I was wondering where everyone was. I was just a couple hours early!
I very much miss the in-person workshops, but we’re in an unprecedented time, and I appreciate WW’s efforts in trying to continue support.
Agreed!! It was wonderful to see you & visit!!!
