Valentine Day: a day for the exchange of tokens of affections.

Although candy and dinner might be part of the tradition, this year as we celebrate Valentine’s Day, let’s keep our focus heavier on the affection and the love and less on the food.

If you’re going to dinner or receive candy, don’t feel like you can’t have it….just use portion control to make it work. You might have to go lighter at lunch or move around a little bit more, but it will be worth it because YOU’RE in control. It’s ALL about choices.

This is a new lifestyle you’re creating for yourself, so it must be realistic for YOU. It has to include special occasions and treats because that’s the FUN part of life!!!

Not only is it Valentine’s Day, it’s also Oakley’s Birthday!!! Our little dog was born a year ago today!!!!! We celebrated with a nice long walk this morning:-). Look at the photo…isn’t it exciting to see daylight at 6:15am??? And have you noticed it’s starting to stay lighter, longer, in the evenings?? Yahoooooo:-)

Have a day filled with GRATITUDE for the love in your life!
