Here it is: For the rest of the week, when faced with choices, ask yourself is it worth it and give yourself a moment to answer honestly.
The cookies that your co-worker brought into the office. Worth it? Maybe they are…but maybe they aren’t. YOU DECIDE.
Getting out and taking a walk, even though it’s cold and a little snowy. Worth the effort? Worth how it feels afterwards? Worth your time? I’m not saying it is, but I’m not saying it isn’t. Again, the choice is ours to make for ourselves.
I was at a cross road myself this morning. Yes, it’s only 6am and I’ve already been at a cross road in my day! Haha! Most of you know from seeing the time stamps on these blog posts over the years, I’m a morning person. I exercise very early in the morning with a small group of awesome friends who, like me, have to do it early in the morning in order to ensure it get done. I love them and they keep me accountable!
So this morning, it was too cold and slippery to go outside to run. NOT worth it. Plan B…meet at the gym and eliptical instead. Or plan C….stay in my warm, cozy bed cuddled up with Oakley, my dog. ?????????????????????
It’s all just a choice and when we stop and really think about what We want, the answer to ” what to do” becomes more clear to is. It is EMPOWERING to think it through and THEN act rather than choose the thing you want right at the moment and deal with the consequences later.
Today meeting at the gym was very worth it!! What’s worth it to you today??????
