Plan Your Work-Then Work Your Plan

“It’s Sunday night and I’m just looking at my calendar and getting organized for the new week. We have 2 weeks until Halloween and then we move right into November. Wow. Let’s make Halloween a focus point of our efforts. Give some thought to what habits you would like to consistently practice over the next 12-14 days. Using short-term milestones like this helps to break our journey into small, measurable chunks of time that we can more easily control. Remember to choose only one or two things to focus on so that you can be successful without being overwhelmed. Once we have set our goals, then let’s commit to being “in the moment” by just letting go of any worries or anxiety and simply enjoying the process. My Dad used to say to us “Plan your work, then just work your plan.” Once the work is planned, it is critical that we find a way to be content and happy while working the plan. This is not a punishment!!!! It’s a reward with benefits that just keep coming. We deserve to take care of ourselves and those around us deserve to have us at our best. I encourage you to put the pen to paper as soon as possible and give yourself a 2 week plan that will help you to start feeling terrific right away.
