Are you having a fabulous 4th of July weekend???  The weather is beautiful in the Chicago area and I hope you’re able to get outside and enjoy it with family and friends!!  I had to work yesterday (sold another house…YAY!) but today is all mine and I am HAPPY about it!

I taped this video Thursday, but became reluctant about posting it because I wasn’t sure it was good enough to use. Here’s the thing: My purpose for the videos was just to be me. Just to be who I am and say what I feel. Going into the 3rd video, I find myself being very critical of how I sound, how I look, etc., and driving myself crazy wanting each post to be perfect. That’s when I realized I had to stop myself and say NO more!  Nothing about my blog is about being perfect!  It’s just about real life, managing our true feelings and uncovering the JOY that is within us.

So after several “retakes” I’m saying “forget it!!!” and I’m posting my original video from Thursday.   Would have saved me a lot of time if I would have just posted it in the first place!  Not perfect…not polished…but it’s authentically me!

Please share your thoughts because they help many of us!!

    Your video was great! I don’t know why you thought you had to retake a thing. I do like how you change up your views in the house. So fun!

    Wanted to let you know your baked tilapia & veggies with red potatoes recipe is amazing. I’ve made it at least 4 times. Love the green olives addition. Maybe you can do a cooking video sometime 🙂

    My weight issue is I am up 10 lbs. 5 years ago I lost 80 lbs with the help of weight watchers. It seemed like magic my I lost the weight but the truth is I did it by following the plan and exercising is so important (running works for me) I know tracking is the key but it just seems so time consuming. Sounds silly to say when I spend more time worrying about not writing my points down than the few minutes it takes to do it.

      Lauren! Thanks for bringing up the fish & veggie recipe with olives! I haven’t made it in a while but I love it too! Going to put it on the grill this weekend. We can do this!!!!!!!!!
