This Champagne Pear salad is FULL of crunch with just the right amount of sweetness to make it taste “gourmet”. The beauty of it is…it’s SIMPLE and it’s a crowd pleaser for EVERYONE!
Happy Tuesday, AGAIN! Today’s salad is AMAZING when it comes to taste AND ease of preparation. OH YEAH…my two favorite qualities in a dish! I hope you like it as much as my family and I do!
So just to be clear….My middle name is not “Trader” or “Joe”, but, yes, I DO talk about the store A LOT! That’s because I a log quite a bit of time at TJ’s, shopping with other WW members and for my own family. I have come to love Trader Joe’s for several key reasons: I find it to be one of the easiest stores to navigate (I am not a fan of mega-stores), NONE of the Trader Joe’s brand products contain food color, preservatives or chemicals and it’s extremely inexpensive so I save a ton of money while feeding my fam awesome food. And let’s not forget to talk about the service… I am ALL ABOUT service and the folks who work at Trader Joe’s are some of the friendliest, most ready-to-help-you people you’ll ever meet. It’s easy to tell right off the bat that they love where they work. There is a certain “party atmosphere” that is noticeable the minute you walk in the store and who doesn’t like to be around people who make their job seem like a party???
SO….many of the meal ideas I’ve stumbled upon are made with ingredients from Trader Joe’s and this one is no exception. If you want to make substitutions with other ingredients you can find at your favorite grocery store, I say go for it! My goal is to provide you with some new food ideas and combinations and YOU can take it from there!
Crunchy Champagne Pear Salad
Makes about six 3/4 cup servings
2 containers of Trader Joe’s Healthy 8 salad mix
1/2 bottle of Trader Joe’s Champagne Pear Vinegaerette Dressing
2 apples cut up into chunks (I, of course, leave the skins on, but feel free to take the time to peel them if you would prefer)
Combine apples and Healthy 8 salad and toss with dressing. I think it tastes the best after it’s had some time to sit in the refrigerator so the dressing to soak into the veggie mix. Please share your feedback with me at the meeting!
