Roasted Orange Blossom Honey Goat Cheese Flat Bread with Pumpkin Seeds

by | Entrees, I ❤️ My AirFryer!, Tasty Tuesdays | 3 comments

Anyone who knows me or reads my posts knows undoubtedly, my 2 favorite food categories are dessert and appetizers! Today’s idea falls under appetizer and it’s TOP NOTCH, if I do say so myself! This flat bread rivals any restaurant for the incredible explosion of taste in each bite.

One quick note, I LOVE Joseph’s Pitas!!! Not only are they amazing in this recipe, but you can do SO many other things with them! I’m a huge fan of seasoning them, throwing them in the air fryer, and making Pita chips! They’re so easy!

Okay back to this terrific Flatbread appetizer (or lunch) that is perfect to take in the cooler because it’s just as good room temperature as it is hot out of the air fryer. If you don’t have an air fryer, you need one!! But you could use a toaster oven or even a full size over if it’s not too hot. Either way, I think you will agree…..this flat bread is the bomb!!

Let me know what you think, and if you try any new creative twists!!!!

Ingredients

  • 1 Pita Joseph's Flax, oat bran & whole wheat mini pita bread
  • 2 tsp Green pumpkin seeds (pepitas)
  • 1 tbsp California Sun Dry Sun-Dried Julienne Cut Tomatoes, with Herbs
  • 1/4 cup Grapes
  • 1 tsp Trader Jose's 100% Spanish organic garlic flavored olive oil
  • 1 tsp Alessi White Balsamic Fig Infused Vinegar
  • 1 serving Laura Chenel Orange Blossom Honey Goat Cheese, Sonoma, CA

Instructions

  • Lightly spritz pita with olive oil. I prefer garlic infused EVOO
  • Break up 1 ounce goat cheese into tiny crumbles and spread evenly over pita
  • Half grapes and spread evenly over pita. I prefer to use a mix of red, green, and purple when I have all 3 on hand.
  • Using kitchen shears, cut the sun dried tomatoes into tiny pieces, evenly distributing over flat bread as you cut.
  • Sprinkle green pumpkin seeds
  • Spritz with balsamic vinegar. I prefer green apple infused or fig infused balsamic vinegar, but any kind will work
  • This is the tricky part...Joseph's Pitas burn quickly and easily, so err on the side or air frying less than more. My air fryer finishes the flat bread perfectly at 400* for 3 minutes. If you need a little longer, do it in very small increments so you don't burn your beautiful creation!
